Real clouds indoors. Really.

There is no trickery or photo shopping involved in this new art series from dutch artist Berndnaut Smilde. There is only a very good idea, a touch of magic and some very nifty lighting and camera skills. What Smilde does, is merge art and science to create clouds that appear indoors.

Using a fog machine and carefully regulating the humidity and temperature, Smilde is able to conjure a cloud in the confines of a room. When done, these installations exists for a mere moment before dissipating. However, luckily for us, these scientific sculptures have been beautifully captured on film.
