Myoung Ho Lee, a young artist from South Korea, has produced a series of photographs that focus the viewers attention on the beauty of an individual, which can often be lost amongst the whole. His idea is very simple in premise; set an enormous white canvas behind trees and take a photo. The effect is to take the natural out of nature. The end result is a beautifully photographed tree, much the same as you would see in a painting or photograph on a billboard.
They are a little surreal, but definitely beautiful. The detail brought out in the trees by the photographs will have you reconsider the wilting timber in your own back yard.
Unfortunately, Myoung Ho Lee doesn’t have a website, but he has stuff popping up all over the place, so stay posted.
